Ok, so, we may have mentioned once or twice about the recent relaunch of our ever-popular www.hotels.uk.com (can you blame us it looks awesome?!) Anyway, as with all great projects – we learned a few lessons along the way. Whilst meticulously reviewing everybody’s profile on here we couldn’t believe how much things had changed; 22,000 advertisements later and with square eyes – we were seeing light at the end of the tunnel! It was simply astonishing what this brought to light. Lots of our customers were displaying pictures and information that were completely out of date- crikey! Naturally, we know you guys have a million and one things to do but, this still holds great importance for us and, more importantly – for you!
We’re not pointing the finger, we just genuinely wanted to let you know how a few teeny tiny adjustments can increase bookings and revolutionise the way people view a property. We have been in regular contact with our Q-Bookers – advising them where to make the appropriate changes. We promised our Q-Bookers a makeover and boy did they get one! Best intentions at heart we banged on about updating their adverts again and again (sorry if you’re sick of us). But, like anything for the greater good – we know it’s worth it! We already boast a tremendous 25 million visits per month (rapidly increasing) and, with the restoration now complete we really want our customers to reap the benefits and we 100% know they will.
It is amazing how updating your pictures (and other content too) can strengthen and invigorate your online presence. Strong believers in a two-minute makeover (that’s literally all it takes to make the changes necessary) we cannot comprehend the transformation of some of our properties. Some of our customers have been advertising with us somewhat 20 years and, had the advert to prove it 😉 Feeling all nostalgic, we were delighted to assist our customers with bringing their adverts up to date whilst taking a walk down memory lane!
I guess what we’re trying to say is make sure your online presence reflects what you genuinely have to offer. We would hate to think that your property is bypassed because of out of date pictures – it seems criminal! It’s tough enough out there in the big wide world of Online Booking so, if we can get these simple bits right we genuinely believe we/you are onto a winner!
We would kindly advise that you please scout over any of your online advertising. Think about your Website, Social Media, OTA’s, Price Comparison sites and anything where you are in the public domain. If you can guarantee that everything is right, everywhere – the more likely you are to see the positive outcome.
It goes without saying that we will offer assistance to any of our Q-Bookers who don’t know how to update their images or just to give them guidance on where to look.
