Things to do while on hold to your existing booking system.

  1. Compose a haiku about the joys of waiting on hold: "On hold I remain, patience waning, time stretches. Muzak fills the void."
  2. Try your hand at beatboxing or creating a catchy tune with your mouth. Who knows, you might end up creating a viral hit!
  3. Hold an imaginary press conference with yourself, answering important questions like, "How do you cope with the excitement of being on hold?"
  4. Write a short story in your head, complete with characters, plot twists, and a surprise ending. It's like having your own personal audiobook!
  5. Practice your foreign language skills by translating common phrases into different languages. Impress yourself with how multilingual you can be while waiting.
  6. Imagine you're a radio host and entertain yourself with impromptu interviews, hilarious commercials, and even traffic reports for your own imaginary city.
  7. Challenge yourself to solve a Rubik's Cube or complete a puzzle. Keep your hands busy and your mind engaged while you conquer a small challenge.
  8. Engage in some gentle stretching or light exercises. Make the most of your time on hold by incorporating a mini workout session into your day.
  9. Experiment with beatboxing or humming along with the hold music, creating your own remixes and catchy tunes. Who knows, you might just become the next big music producer!
  10. Take a moment to close your eyes and practice deep breathing or meditation. Use the time on hold as an opportunity for some peaceful reflection and relaxation.

Remember, while it's frustrating to be on hold, finding ways to entertain yourself can make the time pass more quickly and even bring a little laughter and joy into the experience, or you can change to Q-Book who actually pick up the phone ;-)
